I want to buy a camera. I've been using my phone camera for most everything and the quality just isn't that good. I would like to spend less than $200. I'm not a photographer but I want to capture my kids and the things we do. I've been really slacking. This is my attempt to recognize and appreciate the little things that make us happy. Suggestions for a brand, or any other tips to help with this?

Try costco. For $200 you can get a decent point and shoot and test it for a few days and return if you don't like it.
Try Amazon. I would just get a Nikon or Cannon that you like. Easy to find them for cheap, I bought mine for 120 and LOVE it
