Satan's plan vs heavenly fathers plan

I like to force my children to be obedient, especially when it comes to matters of church. We expect them to attend church, have family scriptures, family home evening, personal scriptures, etc. they are still young but we do this in hopes that they will gain the testimony they need to make righteous choices later on. I sometimes feel like I'm doing this incorrectly but haven't come up with a better idea.
